Hi i ahve been considering buying a freestyle twin tip. I have tried my freinds board but istruggle to go upwind.
I am 75 kg and am wondering if anyone could suggest some good boards that are also very easy to cut upwind but also good for air. Thanks![]()
Nobile 555, T5 are great intermediate boards that go upwind easily and jump well they are allso very forgiving.
If you struggled on your mates board it's probably to small
Size is a major factor often overlooked for things like graphics
Your weight, size of kite, wind range & skill level should determine
what size board will suit you. Most TT's are very similar from most
major brands. One option is Cardboards web site can help you
decide & design a board to suit.
...I don't think the problem is with the boards....all boards go upwind quite well, otherwise noone would buy them....just refine your skill on whatever board you have before you rush out and buy another.....I think there are some good info on how to go upwind on the AKS site, and plenty on this forum as well....
...Even stuff like width of spread between your footpads can make a big diff. My upwind was helped a lot by bringing footpads closer together (still around shoulder width), but more splayed out. Helped me gain leverage/ stomp down with the rear heel heaps easier- leading to way easier upwind progress. Good luck.![]()
