Anyone seen this? He saves people from drowning, looks like one guy lost his trunks also. (not sure how to get the video on here sorry)

he did a bloody good job at controlling the kite whilst the desperate downers clung to the bar... I was reading elsewhere that this is a natural reaction of a drowning person ( to grab at the highest object and attempt to pull themselves up )
at that point they are on auto pilot

It's all good ..... I don't think many people see the news sections of the forum.

Wow, he did a good job eh. It would be good if this got some airtime to promote kiting.

I'd like to think that I'd do the same in that situation (although in reality, I'm more likely to be the guy getting hauled to safety with no pants on...).

Has he superglued his hat on? I'm impressed that stayed on.

I do hope the rescued people said thank you to him.

My hat goes off to him what a great job !!!
But very scary how they go straight for the bar
If they brought your kite down you could be in real trouble !
After watching that and if I'm going to help someone think I'll unhook my leash from the chicken loop and they can hang onto that !! Tow them in keeps them away from your bar .

Props to that guy. Solid effort. Can't believe people will swim in the ocean with no respect to learn about rips and the power of the surf.

Sadly, when someone gets into that kind of trouble and they are in shock, they are super dangerous and you have to literally slap them hard in the face to get them to calm down and reason. Extraordinary effort and lucky he didn't go down with the ship. That takes courage.
