Got a set of big brand footstraps on the board and they're next to impossible to adjust . The best I've seen are the older?? Nobile ones where no velcro is involved. They have a clever strap and buckle type setup and are super easy to adjust .
Are these still available? Or any other brand with a similar system?
Dakine warlocks, pull the black tab to tighten pull the red to slacken , easy to do while your riding , no Velcro they use a buckle like tie down straps,
Liquid Force Comp. I have the 2013 version (on a 2014 board), easiest I've seen to adjust. The 2014 LF straps are crap
For a TT? Axis
they use velcro (4 straps) but hardly change during over a couple of sessions. Best thing is I can do them up really snug without that ski-boot-too-tight pain I get with all the other pads I've tried.
one thing to be aware with the warlocks, they are that snug a fit if you tighten them right up, you may risk an injury

Lovin the Naish Apex.... but they have velcro
agreed these are the best...

yep, as you can see the xride has airush pads and warlock straps, my fave is the shinn pads and warlock strap set up
try them on first ! bought a few types of straps over the past year or so based on people opinions on here and ended up with quite a few sets of straps i then had to sell !! haven't tried the warlock's yet but i'm currently using the new axis traction system and loving them.
really liked cabrinha sync's , though they were a bit too stiff around the toe and were a bitch to adjust (laces) ran them for over a year .
tried the slingshot joint's -- not for me at all ,, the footbed is way too hard and the heel section is useless , you just bounce out all the time with nothing to grip onto in the foot bed at all .
naish apex - can see the attraction , but the foot bed was too small and straps too mobile for me (personal opinion) hated them , sold them after one ride.
tried most of the basic brands that come on boards ( nobile , xenon- which weren't too bad, cardboards - terrible )
axis traction , so far have been great ,, similar stiffness to sync and same "locked in feeling" but no rubbing in uncomfortable spots and WAYYYY easier to adjust .
on a mates advice , put some dakine raptor straps on the heels and found a greater level of confidence in them not coming off during rotations . not sure they actually hold in better , but they feel like they do which gives you a bit more confidence .
moral is no set will suit everyone , you need to try them out or waste a fair bit of cash ....
Add to the above- North Entity footstraps after a short time all the padding folded back making it very uncomfortable- good luck if you can adjust these.
Who sells the Dakine warlocks?

Kim at gero surf and sail, he'll post if you don't have a local dakine stockist, don't get confused with the xlace totally different

Kim's up at gnaraloo for a few days, just letting you know if you don't get a quick response from him.

Another option instead of replacing whole straps is the Dakine heel straps (about $20), the fit round the back of your heel to help prevent your foot accidentally slipping out yet they have enough stretch to still allow you to kick off. i rate them ![]()
