Going down the line into the rising sun this morning with rain pelting me from behind. Tacked sw and looked up into huge black frontal clouds with a massive rainbow in front, way to start the morning at 7:00

Bit too intense for me.
Jason lewis was dominating the massive swell and nuclear winds
That guy can ride.

Good sesh this arvo, until I snapped two lines in one go. Only a ten minute swim back to shore.
Who would of thought my trusty 12m would give up on me mid sesh.

I went for a land session "no board" this arvo and got launched 6 foot in the air and dragged down the footy oval, 2.5 foil 3-line has a nice bite to it in 35 knot winds, all I could think about was impact vest as I hit the ground,"I kept going" and had a few good launches, after 7 beers I am still tender as......

Respect to the wind........nice to be told who is boss once in a while ;)

Got the 9 out for an hour at Melville. Water to myself, freezing feet, but the biggest grin. Stoked to get the kite out again after such a long stretch

I've started from Leighton and I traveled to Cottesloe and back to Leighton 2 times.
By the time I got back to my car some DUSH got into my car and stole my spear changes.

Never mind the land jumping, just get in the water.
Yeh manny I seen you trying to fly your 12m helix at the pond. Bit gusty was it? What about the gromit with his 6m cab, holding on for dear life. Good fun.

Kiting is only allowed Sept thru to April at Melville.

Although it doesn't state that on the WAKSA WA location guide (there is reference to it hidden in Phils post on the Melville River Kiters forum section).

Yes Phrase, it was abit crazy yesterday. I was just checking the lines that I replaced from snapping the day before. I guess it wasn`t the best conditions to fly a 12m with dodgey replacement lines. And one line was longer than the other.
I`ll give the young lad flying the 6m cab credit, he didn`t give up. Even though the kite was flying him instead of him flying the kite. Good fun!

Havent actually had any official confirmation from Melville CC on the state of play re restrictions a Melville Beach Rd. for this winter. Hence no update on the site guide.
But we should be better informed. We will make contact to seek some clarification.

Will report back as soon as advised.

In the meantime lots of common sense should be applied - please. Better to have it for summer only than not have it at all !
