(the many kites ;) )
My wife just twisted my arm to go and eat lovely food, kite most days etc... Went in 2006, although this year I'll take a wave board. Some pretty fun waves out on the big wind days
(Missing a few weeks of kite madness in Perth)
I should be hitting there in December some time as part of our honeymoon backpacking through Vietnam/Cambodia . . won't be carrying my gear though so I'll be looking to hire some for a few days. ![]()
Take your gear Dave and get the new wife to carry it, you need to get these situations ironed out right at the start before she forgets her place.![]()
Yea Thats right GranG those fat old Russian women in leopard bikinis are not so pleasing to the eyes, but definetly different".
Got to agree with GranG, the scenery was spectacular. The Russian girls were very easy on the eye, a bit like Brazilians of the north. Not that friendly though, language thing I guess.![]()
The wind was pretty good too, cheap living and good cold beer, what more could you ask for.
Were i was stay"n there were a group of young Belgian beauties i must say' but to see the odd old boiler in bikinis obviously left a lasting impression scarred for life.
Just got back from 5 days around Port Douglas and it was pretty nice up there . . only got 1 good sesh as the wind didn't come in the main day I had set aside for kiting. . which was disappointing but ok I guess as it stayed flat the next day for our diving at Agincourt reef. Could have scored a 2nd sesh on the last day but I was on my 4th corona by the time the wind arrived . .
Had to content myself watching a guy on a red waroo who had a pretty tidy front roll downloop transition going, looked like a nice new trick to learn.
I did get some practice in at conning the fiance into carrying my gear bag around![]()
I reckon now I'll bring gear on the honeymoon as we're going straight back (from Brissie) to Perth to top up the bank account with a 3 month contract . . I'm a piping draftsman and the market is pretty hot there at the moment.
