Yep, huge rails and pipes sticking out, awesome, I am sure that is just what the locals wanted at their fishing spot.![]()

Man man slides and other crap should be banned outright.
The same applies to all the idiots who build hand rails in the middle of the ski slopes.
Can anyone explain the difference between a kiter who pops of flat water then goes into his dingle dangle handle pass and a kiter who does a gay slide up a pipe then a dingle dangle handle pass????![]()
I probably won't win this argument but this is plain sad![]()

argument? just seemed like a negative rant to be honest.
i have no interest in handle passes or sliders/rails, but thought it was a cool vid. also thought most of the tricks were kite low, powered and smooth, so not sure where the dangle element comes in except that we are all dangling at some point from that thing in teh sky above us? I reckon you might have also missed the pre-text about how the conflicts in the region are hurting tourism in areas like this that probably rely on a bit of kite tourism from europe etc, and since no one was around they had the freedom to throw out a few sliders (over a foot deep sand bar (fisherman affected??? on the red sea? ffs)
spot looked great, edit and riding was great too in my opinion - but then it is friday arvo and i am frothed for wind and waves this weekend.
enjoy everyone!
Sliders do absolutely nothing for me - seriously why??? But, that said its great to see those that are into it getting into THEIR sport - full on - big thumbs up!!
The thought of getting it wrong as in hitting the slider support ( and Ive seen a lot of that on the sliders gone wrong!) isn't worth thinking about!! ouch

Just because u don't have the balls, doesn't give you the right.
Its a risk -reward equation that you've obviously never taken.
Great vid, great riding. Wish we had some at my local.
It has nothing to do with balls,
everything to do with spoiling the purity of a pristine environment.
I have a deep seated love for the ocean and am constantly saddened by the impact of developments slowly encroaching our coast, I feel even more frustrated when I see snow boarding parks being built in the middle of my favourite mountains.
The willingness to invade a magic spot with an ugly structure solely for the pleasure of a few willing to have a slide baffles me even more.
My enjoyment of this sport comes from the relation between the ocean, my kite and the wind. With this simple equation, I can discover and enjoy thousands of kilometres of coast without living a trace behind and can actually boost way bigger without the prop (as all those guys are perfectly capable I am sure).
The difference is that a 1000 blokes enjoying the sport my way wouldn't have any impact on their environment,
put a 1000 slides, ramps and pipes planted along the shore.....![]()

Have you ever seen a Ski/ snowboarding resort in summer? You know, those "untouched" , "snow-park-free" slopes cut right into the mountain, eroding half the mountain and eliminating any sort of natural growth.... pretty natural and low-impact they are, hey?
Lighten up bro, just a bit of pvc and some guys having fun... not like we're tripping over all these sliders everywhere is it?
Sicccc! Pity, I feel sorry for all the fisherman I see on the bank, shaking there fists, hindered by a couple of huge rails, in that tiny water course!

Couldn't agree more
The development of any lift assisted ski resort has a much greater impact on the environment than kiting ever will
They call it summer grooming, it's when they cut and dig the crap out of the mountain side to make suitable terrain. Makes a half pipe and a few sliders seem insignificant

Frustrated by snowboarding parks? Ha, that's laughable, what about the infrastructure set up on the mountain so u can even ride it?
And on top of that, the fuel you burn in your car to get there. The energy used to manufacture and transport your equipment.
I think your a little deluded about your carbon footprint.
Humans are poisonous to the earth. No need to exploit it but that's a fact.

purity of a pristine environment? magic spot? bahahahaha! if you ever go to this part of egypt & see how the beaches & coastline are used you will realise how ridiculous this is....
nice clip by the way...
Cool Clip,
Snowboarding and rails saved the ski industry. ALL SKIERS now have twin tips and snowboard inspired clothing. There is much less an environmental impact from a small rail park than the huge ski runs in some of the resorts including the snow making to keep them going.
Anyway I ride snowboards in powder and used to ride rails and the like. I think these guys riding rails on water is cool. Its pretty much inspired by cable wakeboard riding not snowboarding.
Slides can be removed BUT, what really ticks me off at my local surfing spot is guys coming down and dropping their morning coffee under their car and their maccas rubbish... That wrecks the enviroment more than a couple of rails.
bahaha. Not sure how much of a humanitarian effort this is. Good on him for traveling there i guess!
James Boulding, although a pom ;) rips and that vid got me amped.. Reminds me of one of his old clips from 3 years ago - Directions.. Gets me amped too and luv it cos its filmed in Perth, cool light in the late arvo sesh ![]()
check it, for old times sake.. and no sliders ![]()
