hey guys,
i'm heading up to Gero for a couple of weeks with a few mates. heading up start of november i want to know what size kites you need that time of year.
cheers![]()
Hey,
Got about 7 of us heading to Gero At the start of November as well. having been there before I will only be taking my 7 and 10 and the 10 may be to big if winds are right I only expect to have the 7mtr up most of the time. The place should be Nuking by that time !
Might see you there just look out for the boys drinking the Heineken from Darwin !
Looks like it's going to be packed up here in November,
Make sure you have a small kite - a 7m if you are less than 80kg's. I'd expect that if you have not kited in strong winds much this will still increase your sphyncter factor to about 8 or 9 initially.
1. Start your sessions with just going back and forth - do that for quite a few tacks. Get used to the place, look around.
2. feel for punches or holes - that will give you an indication on what's coming in the next hour or two.
3. Get to as high a speed as comfortable with your kite nice and low. Then edge as hard as you can (without skipping out) to make sure you are practiced at muscleing your kite to the edge of the window in strong gusts.
Now of course you are all expert kiters so you can ignore all that is written above with a toss of your head and a scoff.
So if you are an "expert" Just make sure you are on your game when on the water so it's safe for us locals to go out in the unusually crowded conditions forecast for November.
Look forward to seeing you all!. November is usually quite epic.
Ha ha
either way boys the Heiny army from Darwin are coming ! and we are looking forward to catching up with you all !!
Jeff2 its the same here in DArwin but in the spirit of Kiting the more the merrier, Hope we can catch up and you can try to show us some of what I know Gero has to offer ! otherwise we'll see you sitting on the beach sulking
( just kidding )
Have fun till then boys cause we're coming.............oh yes .....we're coming !!![]()

I've never been before so ill take it easy for a few days get used to it
just look out for a big green Hiace van with winsurfing stickers all over it!
