I'm doing a Contiki tour up to Cairns and have a free day on Daydream Island to hopefully get a surf in. I wasn't able to bring my gear from WA and was hoping to hire it for the 2 days I'm on the island.
Anyone have any suggestions on where to hire gear?
I won't have much time to travel around outside the tour so if I could organise to be at the boat or on the island it would be awesome. Or if anyone is local and wants to make some cash by lending me thier old gear?

No chance, you'll be in the wind shadow of North molle so it'll be gusty (if there is wind), plus very little beach for launch on the island. May's well just lay back and enjoy the sun...
Also huge tidal currents flowing around the island so listen to the above comment.
