I run a GPS windsurfing website, verify loads of tracks, and the NAVI GT-31 is the best by a country mile. Or a nautical mile I guess ![]()
Get one, you won't be disappointed.
Hi Aaron, might have been better to post in Windsurfing, GPS Speedsailing ![]()
The Navi is the best so just grap one of those, it's what most of us use, then ask Q's on the dark side if you need help.
Make sure you get a waterproof bag, don't trust any GPS without one, this is the one I use www.whitworths.com.au/ works fine
Cheers Bob.
Edit, Bloody hell Nebs do you use more than two fingers to type
Garlmind, sorry i cant spell
*straps to your wrist
*recharg batts
*tracks where youve been and speed
*upload dater to pc
*water proof
i dont have one but have used it a lot,but they still need a water proof bag
to stop water getting in it.crashing forsers water in them.they ant desined
for hard kitting crashers.so dont crash.[:)
pollboarders use them a lot for there speed ladder
Garmins suffer from a number of issues which make them unsuitable for anything other than casual use... one of them is that they don't store trackpoints with a decent resolution so you get a 'grid effect' on your points, another is that they don't store nearly as much other information as the NAVI (number of satellites visible, doppler speed etc), most Garmins only store at 2 second intervals instead of 1 second, etc etc.
Get a NAVI. Trust me.
Simon at Boards Crazy will look after you, I havn't delt with them but some of my team have with good service and no problems, or just ring around the Kite Windsurf shops.
Edit, Poop Nebs you did it again, beat me by that much ![]()
