How come i don't see any kiters kite on Freo dog beach in front of the old run down warehouse? I checked it out the other day and it seems like an alright place to kite. Is their something i don't know about it? Gusty? Sharkies? Wind shadow? Dirty old men who sunbake naked?
A few reasons for me to avoid this spot:

A few crazy and uneducated dogs that love kites leading edges
Mainly it is downstream and downwind of the nearly forgotten Freo's rubbish tip... 
Though it does not matter if pimples and rash look good on you... 
Please keep us informed about your health if you kite there regularly...

I've been there. It's not too bad. Good spot if you're keen to avoid others during the gumby learning phase.
