It's been 7 days. No response.
Probably one of them tourists in the crappy wicked vans (common as bush turkeys) sleeping in the car parks and dumping in the dunes.
I recon I could get $120 bucks for it.
How soon is too soon?
Do the right thing
Hand it in to the police
If it not claimed in a certain amount of time it then becomes legally yours and you can sell it
Cops should be out catching criminals, not spent on administration duties for a lost kite bar.
The lost and found section works perfectly and as intended.
A similar story happened in Perth a couple of years ago. Some travelers left two bars behind and my friend and I posted it on seabreeze lost and found.
No claims for 2 weeks so we thought they will never get claimed. Another 2 weeks later my friend put one of his kites for sale with one of the bars we found on Gumtree. Turns out the owners didn't know about seabreeze and found that ad on Gumtree and claimed their bars back.
Most foreign kiters visiting Oz have no idea Seabreeze even exists but they all know about Gumtree. Put an ad on Gumtree if they are really looking for the bar, they will find it there.
