I am looking at getting a new kite and have narrowed my search down to a Fone Bandit 3 or a Fone Revolt 2.

Has anyone got one of these or herd any good/bad news about them? I am at a beginner level.

Cheers,
Taine

i dont know why anyone would buy the revolt over the bandit yes it maybe good for beginers but the bandit will do a beginer just fine and is a much better kite imo. the revolt may be cheaper but i would rather spend the extra 3 to 400 more and get a better kite, bar and bag (one that doesnt look like a potato sack). im not saying the revolt is a crap kite its just not as good as the bandit.

I have been ridding the bandit kites since they came out and have allso had a chance to ride the revolt 2 and several other delta kites. i currently have the Bandit 3 kites for this season and so far have been impressed by them.

The bandit 3 is a much nicer kite to fly than the dos it is a lot more forgiving than the dos. The revolt is a bit cheaper and comes in a bag that you would think was for a sleeping bag, the bar is no where near the standard of the B3 and it doesnt have the new one pump system that the b3 has. Also the B3 will last you longer as after a thew months you wont be looking for a better kite and if you are you will find it a lot easyer to sell and would get more back fore the b3. In whyalla the local instructor has been using bandits for beginers fort the last 3 years and the beginers that stuck with them really progressed quickly compared to the ones that got a more learner based kite.

In the past the bandit has been a kite that didnt suit everyone due to the masive instant grunt, but the b3 is so much smoother still has the grunt but doesnt bring it on as instantly making it better for the more timid riders.

So i would definatly recomend the B3 over the revolt even though you are a learner. But i allways recomend trying a demo kite before buying one if you are able to. Allso fone arent the only brand making delta kites and some of these other kites are also a good option the Best kahoona for one i enjoyed ridding not as high performance as the bandits but a really good kite that would suit learners right thrugh to intermediate freestyle riders.

I hope you get your new kite soon.
