Hi guys,

Did not find anything useful and airlines change their policies quite often. Any issues with Jetstar or Virgin so far? We have 20kg per person available and my kiteboard is enveloped in a standard kiteboard bag.

Do want to leave the board behind ...

Thanks a lot

Tobias

No problems with Virgin re length.
Jetstar major problems once.

Read the fine print and measure your gear; you'll be right.

Buy the Extra bag allowance. It gives you two bags and a total of forty kg's

Virgin allows 23kg per checked in bag and you can pre-purchase multiple extra 23kg bags for cheap ($55 for each 23kg). Virgin has always been great with oversize and size doesn't seem to be an issue. Just make sure you're not over 23kg as they'll sting you even for 1kg over

Max length on Jetstar is 1.9m including cover, anything more and it won't get through check in

no issues with jetstar. just make sure you're under 1.9m and no single bag is above 32kgs, thats for domestic though

I recently had more trouble with the XPT train in New South Wales 20 kg per bag.
