Well, may as well get it under way. (Its going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong winter).
Pick the first breeze of 08. There may be a prize, there may not, it ain't up to me. If there isn't you still win bragging rights.
Only 3 people per date.
Must be in ssw to wsw range. More than or equal to 18 knots (green arrows), for 3 or more green arrows in a row.
No frontal crap, must be nice summer seabreeze.
You can only change your guess once, and not after half way through august.
If this is too early, ignore it. If you don't like the rules, complain.

I'll try an update the list as often as I can. (Can we please maybe get a sticky so its easy to find?)

August-(yes please)

**** are you serious guys! you get NO wind for 5 months, What the hell do you do, surely not at home with the missus. I get cold turkey if I dont get out for 5 weeks let alone 5 months. Is that all over Oz or just in some area's. Im moving over next year, That wind situation dont sound good, 5 months thats a lot of beer to be drunk. Whats the situation in the summer, say from Sept - May? In Brissy area.

nickloop there is wind but in WA it's frontal wind gusty and unpredictable not like the awesome summer sea breeze. In Brisbane you can not kite but up towards the goldie and cairns they get southerly winds dominated by high presure systems which are good

what are you talking about? You can kite in Brisbane, and btw the Gold Coast is south of Brisbane not north.

they are pretty good here, just colder. Winter means drysuit, hood, gloves and a good pair of boots. Been out in -15 windchill in a mean easterly blowing straight from russia. But winter is great kiteing, normally on me 7m waroo or 10m nemesis. summer, if we get one, normally windy atleast once a week, most no wind time is 4 weeks. If I knew how to put pictures on here I could show you easter bank holiday, -4 and 35-50mph wind, awlsome. still cant wait to kite in Brissy area in October for two weeks and for good next year.

i'll take our 20-30 degree, 20-30 knots, 6-7 days a week, 6 month long summer and the regular winter fronts (12-15 degrees ;) if its all the same to you...

No. Has to be proper summer weather pattern.
Measured from Swanny OR Oceanreef, whichever get the required wind first.
Come on people. Vote for your day
