Was there a bit in 'the filthy west' kitesurfing movie where a whale jumps out of the water in the sunset where there's a kitesurfer and a windsurfer in the frame too?
Did i just imagine that?
What minute mark is it?
Popular sight along our coast
I'm not a gambling man but I'd put money on seeing a fair few whales out the back of the bombie or graveyards in the coming months, I've kited a few times and had them really close you're just got to hope and time it right
Here's one I dug out from dirk Hartog
On one trip I was sat just off tumbledown in my dingy in 8 to 10 Mtrs with 7/8 going nuts , my mate was shidtin bricks
There an amazing creature and I never get sick of the sight of them, were blessed
You must be sitting on a tractor Matt to watch a 50 or so minute clip! I got bored after 2 minutes. How far in is the bogged at port Gregory bit and do they hit up Horrocks?

Saw a large humpie do a big breach off Horrocks yesterday Mick like this. Too slow with the camera though.
You see the young ones breaching a lot but in my experience it's quite rare to see a mature whale do a full out of the water breach. They do a lot more tail and flipper splashing.
That's an unreal photo, can see why your mate was freaked out, if that sucker landed on your boat would be ugly!
