Found out last night a mate's getting married in Fiji next April. Stoked, never been.

How windy does it get over there in April?

hey Juddy .. not sure about April but I was in Fiji a few weeks ago (arrived May 30) .. we stayed on the Coral Coast and the trade winds were working pretty much every day.

I didn't take any kite gear as all the research I did reckoned the Coral Coast was sketchy for launch/land/spots/wind .. what a mistake that was, could have got some awesome sessions in a couple of hours either side of high tide, a 10 and an 8 would have been perfect.

If your mate's wedding is in the south of the island (eg: around Sigatoka) give Nick at Surfari Fiji a hoy (http://surfarifiji.com/), top bloke, he'll be happy to give you the run down on conditions and if you get a chance book onto one of his trips out to Frigates .. I surfed the break twice while I was there, an absolutely world class left hander that's about an hour's boat trip into the ocean.
