Hey guys,
Just spent a week holiday over in Fiji at safari lodge, we were unfourtunate with the wind and only managed to get out for 4 seshions in the week but we were kept happy with heaps of activities they had like snorkelling, wakeboarding and watersking, spear fishing, supping, fishing and well parasailing essentially. The food over there was amazing, self serve to as much as you can eat. The local fijians are some of the most incredibly nice people i have ever met and are always want to talk. When the wind finally did come up we had to leave, just my luck
but never the less had a great week!
Also here are a few photos took over the week![]()

7 more weeks and we will be there. You just make the wait feel longer.
Of course I always tell those coming in our group that going for just one week is playing russian roulette with the wind.
the Trades are usually on a 9 day cycle with 2 of those days unkitable. sometimes the 2 days in the 9 day cycle back up to each other sometimes they just don't happen and you cop 25kt wind for 2 weeks solid. If you fluke turning up at the start of the unlucky cycle then the first 4 days are windless. Then the first 2 days of the wind are building from 10 to 20 kts and ususally come at the turn of low tide. so where in the day The tides are can dictate when you get a session.
As in your case the wind did kick in perfectly for those staying on the second week.
Even with no wind it's a great place.
