A shout out to the legends at ZU boardsports in St Kilda.

On Thursday 14th Jan approx 5pm while grabbing my kite from my car some drop kick stole my surfboard and harness off the beach at Port Melbourne and disappeared. To rub salt into the wound it was pumping 25 - 30 knots.

Spent an hour trying to find the prick then let all the shops and schools know about it before they shut for the night.

Following typical f**k wit form, he turned up at the ZU to sell the gear Friday arvo 15th Jan. The boys there called the cops, locked him in and kept him distracted until the boys and girls in blue turned up.

Turns out they have been after him for a while and will be throwing the book at him. ZU crew thanks again.

Awesome news. Might have to rethink leaving my bag on the beach althugh haven't had an issue in years.

But how dumb can you be? Trying to offload the gear in local shops.

You mean, all those weapons? "Sorry officer, I feared for my life when he grabbed the bar. In the course of relieving him of the weapon, he fell down. Repeatedly."

Geez it was good kiting on Thursday too......
I feel your pain of not being able to enjoy it.

On a positive note, you got your board back, how good.

Another good argument to keep your nearby kite shop in business and buy local!

Why call the cops, why not just attach kite to his leg, wrap 1 steering line around the bar and let him downwind in the depths of the ocean. Crunching popcorn till he gets out of peripheral vision and then call the coast guard :D

Great to see once of those dirty scum going down but sadly, he was probably already released with a slap on the wrist
