Been experimenting with a centre strut pivoting GoPro kite mount. This was shot on a very marginal day in Perth on my 13m kite and surf board. It goes along with the downwind GPS tracking I posted the other day. The mount still needs a little bit of tweaking to get rid of the rocking motion, but the idea of following the horizon when the kite pivots, is nearly there.
Once all the glitches are figured out I'll be getting out into some real surf in some real wind.
Enjoy.

Couldn't work out how to post the video directly, any help there?
Its a great idea, but my head was spinning within 30 secs... I had to stop watching.
Same here, but it looked cool.

Yer but better than half the footage being upside down.

Would it not be easier to just invert the footage at each transition when editing? (...and why did I get red-thumbed for posting the video properly?)
definitely worth a look after some tweaking, i like the pivot giving a greater perspective of the kiter in motion against the surrounds
could be very interesting with a 6m in cranking waves and throw in a few kite loops ???

Don't know who red thumbed ya, but thanks for posting the vid properly. Do ya think I'm any good at editing if I can't even post a video properly?
