I've just received an email advertising a "Vintage Surfboard Swap Meet" being held on the Gold Coast.
I'm a surfer too and some of the retro boards, old mals etc that appear at these meets and the characters that have this stuff are often really interesting.
Could this work for Kiting too!
Got me thinking that the Buy and Sell section of Seabreeze must have 1000 items.
Would a Kite / Board Swap Meet be of interest, has it been done?

We get approval to use a park on a Saturday morning, pump up lots'a kites and do some trading etc.

Sounds like a good thing.
Wonder if VIC will have one??
swap meets are good for getting big things and also if you havent
got much cash little bits and pieces.

Someone set a trade page on facebook recently and posted it here. It was taken down very quickly though moderators. Good idea but. I have heaps of bits and pieces I would love to find a new home for.

Nice thinking dowls - I reckon substituting the 'park' for an out of the way beach like Woody's so people could try, might just be a winner?
