Hi guys, I am heading to Esperance for xmas.Decided to holiday at home due to people and businesses doing it tough.Do I need a 4WD to get to the spots? Will i need a wetty? Wife wants to know if its like Phuket??? Thanks in advance for the tips
If you find the right spot: Sure, it's going to be just like Phuket (and not as humid and hot!)

But I lucked out on the last search for ya:
Your search for ladyboy near Esperance WA did not match any locations.

If your coming from perth down to esperance you will most likely want a wettie. arctic currents down that way. Even if you can handle the cold, you are gonna want it just for the sun protection as it is pretty harsh at that level I have found.
Depends how tough you are but a wettie could be good it can get rather cold and besides it may stop you bleeding to death when the great white bites ya
.
Just head west out of town along the coast to Four Mile Beach it's one of the more popular spots, no 4b required, however there are other good spots you will miss without a 4wd.
Winds can be a bit fickle but it is a magic spot.
Hi, try http://www.esperance-kiters.com.au and click on beaches to get a rundown on locations.
4th mile is the spot most people go to , I think there are better spots than 4th but u need a 4wd to get to them, with family they might like luckybay east of town, the sands so clean, hard and white it sqeaks and you can lay rubber on it
, seems to be pop with the tourist Kiters too so I've been told. By December usualy a short sleeve wetty is enough although bring a long sleeve just in case .
Winds can be from 15knots upto 25knots when Perth hits 40 degrees
I will be down that way again in late January Cwamit, be good to catch up for a session or two, maybe a downwinder if you are around.
Thanks for the advice....Foosh i will be sure to grab a Thai dinner and grab a sly rub down
........No probs with cold water and sunburnt head either. Cant wait. Never kited that far south before. Cheers also cwamit....Jeez esperance kiters seem like a professional lot!! nice website.....Hopefully get to share a few beers with a couple of them..
^^ Think you might have to splurge for the massage for your wifey (not you) if she's expecting Phuket!! ![]()
Still, goodonya for supporting West Oz and I hope you'll both have a better time than Phuket!
PS I'm going to Denmark - have had all our holidays local in the last 3 years - love it!![]()
Tightlines i am always up for a downy...
give us a call when you get here!
seafever... thanks for the words, unfortunatly the site makes up the lack of riding talent.. well i only speak for myself!
, might see you down here...
Hi all! My first post on this site so I hope I am not upsetting protocal by not introducing myself elsewhere!
I'm interested in this thread since I am heading to Esperance in December as well. From Perth. I am a total novice and have only had two sessions under instruction. I was getting up, but not lasting long (story of my life), but hope to rectify that slightly by the time I get there. I have my own gear and really excited about this sport.
So, can anyone point me in the right direction for the safer "newby" areas around Esperance.
Also, can someone keep a lookout for someone heading towards Heard Island or Antarctica, and if you see me come and get me?![]()
Welcome to the asylum lostdog
I'm not to sure on good beginners locations down there but check out the link to the Esperance Kiters website on Cwamits post, there is quite a bit of good info there.
He can probably even arrange a lesson for you whilst you are down there.
BTW as you head towards Antarctica watch you don't run into B17B ![]()
