Howdy.
Have any heavier guys got any feedback on the dynabar?
I'm 95 kegs and am planning on running the chicken loop through the supplied ring and not using a hook. I was only supplied with 1 ring. Not 2 like in the dynabar videos.
How often are you all replacing the dyneema line?
Has anyone had one let go leaving you with nothing to hook into?
Because Dynabar attracts people too lazy to unhook you will find most users are actually over 100kgs

I bet you're just laughing and laughing at just how ****ing funny you are...
hahaha... such wit...
Broken the rope a couple of times but you get a fair use out of them. Easy to replace rope once the line starts to show obvious signs of wear. Dyno be is great for toe side however because of the slackness of hook it makes hooking back in harder

I don't want to kite with it.
I only use my harness to hold my gut in while I'm waiting in line for donuts.

I don't get people using the ring... all the load on such a narrow thing, folding the CL right around it. I've had 4 CLs break cos the hook has worn though the PU and its snapped, at one of the two major contact points. Much better to spread it out... use the sliding hook. And use the ring for your leash.
If you want piece of mind, add a second rope using the holes under the center ones.
I've tightened the knot twice; I don't like how it feel when the ropes gets longer. It's just regular Amsteel, you can DIY a replacement...

I don't want to unhook cos I don't want my knuckles dragging on the ground.
Some users are under 100Kg and most of the weight is balls...
I'm 95kgs and I have had the same DynaBar for 3 seasons now. It's rock solid. I just use the hook that sits centered with bungee cord, but shifts over to the side when under load. It's perfect for me, but I never unhook.
Gee I love those 'videos' that have logos, branding and bull**** for 40secs at the start before anything actually happens...
If you have a bit of a yummy, the top of the pad folds over and the bolt on the sliding hook rips it up. Design wise, I would have thought the thread should go at the bottom, as the hook would rarely be in a position of pointing at your toes
Tried to message on the website but no reply yet...
Otherwise, it's great. I jump with it just fine... so far. If it breaks three times, it's still ahead of Dakine fixed hooks!
Dynabar works fine for me (6'3", 100kg+).
And me... 6' 1", 100kg+++
We answered yesterday
Some screw are 2mm longer, it comes out the rounded ends of the hook and brakes the pad surface.
You can remove the 2mm or buy a shorter one from our resellers or marine shop.
