Nice quick vid on it, but the video is not showing clearly how you're meant to continue pulling on the bar as the loop is progressing. In fact it looks like the rider as straightened out the bar level with the kite. Shouldn't it be more angled?
I know that you have to commit doing this manouver. If you let go of the bar pressure, the kite stays facing downwards and could implode once it hits the water.

I find that by starting the steering the kite aggressively and then slowly reducing the steering angle as your kite starts to move in the opposite direction is the best option in the lighter winds as this will make the loop bigger giving you more power to ride of in the other direction. On the higher wind days, I find its best to steer the kite aggressively the whole way through the loop, to make the loop smaller and to create less power.

Sorry lambie that you did not find the tutorial useful. I know this is not an advanced move but just trying to help some people out. I am going to be making some tutorials on more advanced tricks soon

But why do you need to be toeside? Can't this transition be done heel side?

Yes, it can be done either heel side or toeside, but I generally find that it is easier to learn this trick by starting off toeside. Hell side is a bit trickier IMO.
