Notice old mate is unhooked when he gets caught? Must have a grip on that bar like nothing else. I've had harnesses rip apart at much less instantaneous acceleration than he seems to go through.
Halfway through that last sentence one of the office girls called out "Hey Pat, come have a look at this". Ha f*king ha ha.
I have to agree with Macca, and even then he was not directly within the blast he was to the side, speaking with exp in the same field + the film clip is so BS otherwise it would of been on news headlines around the world. And alot of our fav spots would be canned....

Like I said,his kite melted and he was totally disintegrated from the blast.They never found a bit !

The wind is onshore,the plane is coming across the wind!
Planes can't always land *exactly*into the wind.
Its real,but was kept very quiet by the airline and the tourist bureau.
