Thumbs Up

I was at Dolls Point last Saturday and witnessed some interesting behaviour from not only experienced kiters but Newbies too. Kiters dropping kites close to beach users, Kiters Walking their kites upwind over the land, riding very close to newbies body dragging.
Those new to Dolls Point please note this beach is always under threat of being banned due to unsafe practice of kitesurfing. Please ensure the following:

Do Not walk your kite over the land (especially over the top of beach users)
Do Not perform jumps or tricks within 50mts of the beach
Do Not Kite too Close to Learners or other water users

Always pack your bar and lines up after kiting and stack your kite with others to avoid making the beach look like a minefield of kites.

Newbies (learners) Please do not attempt to go out on your board if you do not know how to fly your kite. Dolls Point has strong tidal influences and can easily take you or your board very quickly and put you in danger. Also if you cannot easily relaunch your kite do not even think about going out on your board. Please spend more time body dragging, learning about the wind, powerzone, gusts, relaunching etc.

Always listen to local advice when approached.

Please check www.nswkba.com.au for further info about beaches and saftey rules to follow.

Kite Safe,

Marcel
