Does anyone else think that maybe we over analyze or complicate, confuse ourselves and others! At times.
Things like the difference between a board that is 2cm longer then another. .. does humidity actually make a difference. .. just tiny things like this

unless your competing its all about the personal fun factor and how big your grin is after the session.
so yep i agree with you. if your board is 2cm wider/longer you might get slightly better bottom end, but then struggle more slightly at the top end.
big deal.

Yeah thats what I mean . Some of the things we discuss/argue about on here with certain things may just make bugger all difference unless you are a professional and know the difference. At the end of the day its all about having fun. Im sure the kids on the water ripping it up aren't thinking about how much difference the humidity makes to a kites performance etc while the blokes standing in the car park or writing about it on are forum are just wasting time they could have on the water!

Come up to my local (Cairns) where our hot and humid wind combined with a heavily rockered board that is only 2cm shorter than yours and tell me that it makes no difference to the experience..... ride a wakestyle board with boots in 15 knots up here and you won't get off the beach.

The humid, that is, hot wind is gutless. My 20 knots at my local is about as equivalent to about 15 knots to those who kite around, say, Melbourne.....

I can put you on two boards of equal length but with other varying characteristics such as width, rocker, outline shape etc and the ride will be completely different in the same conditions.

come up to my spot in the hight of the season all of that means f??K all when its blowing low 30s, your hardly touching the water so it makes no difference what board shape you have

Its all about increasing your grin factor! will this 2cm wider board make me grin more? if it does the the discussion is worthwhile.
