Just wondering if anyone has any repair tips. My much loved and well looked after Cabrinha Spectrum had a big chunk of the bottom layer just peel off the other day. A pretty big and apparently unprovoked delamination (no damage to be seen that might have caused it).

While the local shop was very supportive Cabrinha just said "It's out of warranty" and refused to help.
A local surf repair guy is going to have a go at a repair (lamination epoxy and vacuum bagging) but he was also open to ideas on how to make it a neat job. So - ideas please!
Also - in case I do end up having to buy a replacement, I wondered if what I'm hearing here is really true - that Cabrinha boards have a reputation for delamination.....'cos I do rather like the boards, but having them fall apart after a couple of years really isn't on.
Clean it well - 9/10 times thats why it didn't stick - lack of sanding, lack of resin, or greasy fingers in between layers.
Stick it down with epoxy and vac bag (or just weight it down, as long as you're not changing rocker)
Scuff it up and laminate 2oz all over to help tie it together, hotcoat, sand, then then go use it.
Not worth a full on repair and trying to make it invisible ....

Most probably a manufacturing fault with poor bonding between fibreglass and plastic rails on board. I had the same thing happen with an underground board (replaced under warranty). I was able to keep the old board and completely reglassed the bottom of the board using a vacuum bag. It lasted for 3 years until it broke (no further issues with delamination). Make sure you really scuff up plastic rails with sandpaper as epoxy doesn't bond well to plastic
