Have a seat combo style harness can't use a waist, just need to know if anyone has made the change from seat to Nitrious style and found it less restrictive mainly for board offs. Always wear a wettie, are they comfortable over a long session, still offer enough back support ?
yes, yes and yes!
been using them for years....awesome!
add a sliding spreader for even more flexibility
They are very good. Waaayyy better than seat harnesses which are very restrictive.
They can dig a bit in your hips unless you have a wettie.
I had the nitrous but I found the hook a bit low compared to a waist harness. The liquid force was great, but they only lasted a season before you started to get a pain in both hips and they were useless. In the end, the Ion B2 board shorts seem to be the best way to go.

Plus one! Great for long sessions too!
Got that exact harness its really good i will be getting a sliding spreader bar just to try it out hopefully will be easier riding toeside![]()
Dakine nitrous and jaystore ropeslider is a magic combo...
Toeside feels natural and boosting longevity on the rope is not a problem.
Takes 1 or 2 sessions to get used to the slider but you wont go back to a fixed hook afterwards.
Great in the surf too.
NP have there own version coming for 2018 complete with the Tracker pivoting spreader bar:
