There has been some frustration lately with more crew in the water lately...Apparently merging on the roads isnt our only tard factor in WA. I am not going into details due to the dramatic nature of this forum. However I did some colouring in which was way more therapeutic. Red means anger, Green means chill. (if you are Bonny it could have other meanings) ![]()

How the f does that make sense
Pretty straight forward - don't be a douche and stay in the wave zone the whole way from city to trigg. Strange concept for many it seems, be respectful and allow others to enjoy the ripple the are coming in on rather than turning right in front of them.
would of thought itd make most sense to stay in the wave zone the whole way... just maintain the same gap between the kiter in front, and the kiter behind you, the whole way down.
That way everyone is where they want to be. in the wave zone. catching waves ripples. (it is perth, after all)![]()
Yep, focus on riding waves rather than racing the downwinder and cutting off those riding the waves from start to finish. An amendment required in the drawing is arrows for natural footers too who like to go right (Andre is goofy

I think this is where the conflict stems from mainly, most kiters, natural or goofy, are happy to go down the line with the wind, ie left in Perth and try to actually ride the wave
Some just seem to want to get to the end as fast as possible.
Whereas some (mainly natural footers) like to go right and usually take a lot longer to get from A to B.
By tacking out occasionally it just breaks it up and allows the ones that want to race down the line to do so and vice versa.
I think the main thing is if someone is lining up a good section let them have it

The city beach to trigg run certainly can be a mess, the main things for people to focus on are just give people some room and give right of way to person riding a wave.
I will often throw in a couple big tacks if I am caught up in traffic it can often put you behind the pack and let you kite in peace

Hahahaha if everyone did any of the above 2 I would be happy. 90 percent of kiters do the below. Its a downwinder, go down wind!

Exactly, damn your as good with the crayons as Andre.
I'm a natural footer but usually just go left, I can't get any enjoyment out of going right (upwind in Perth) and fighting the wind unless you want to punt a few airs.
If you want to go right why the f do you even downwind.

You would go right at the different peaks along the way if they were worth riding. Each peak might have a different angle allowing different opportunities of wave riding or airs. Ride a few on the peak, tack a few times, move on. On a down winder I generally don't ride more than three waves in one particular peak as the kite size is generally smaller for a down winder and get back to the peak can be work. But if the peak is good it's worth a couple longer tacks, then time to move on. We really don't have much of an issue with crowds of people for where we ride.

I think the idea is to tack out here and there to find gaps instead of staying in the wave zone 100% of the way. Allot of guys are doing slalom and not catching waves ?? which is fine just don't do it on top of other guys who are lining up their swells.
This might work

Did you actually draw this and then take a photo?
Or is this a poster on your wall?
Ride which ever way you want, just don't get in my way by pretending to be a surfer and snaking up wind on a right-hander .**** stuff whatever

Yup its that fricking simple...thnx Hilly
This thread really illustrates where the problem lies! It shows that we can't come to a consensus on right of way
Was great the last 2 days
2 days in a row now, shark alarms closed the beach at Floreat and Scarbs and cleared the water. Clear runs!
