G'day guys,

I've been thinking of cutting the 6-8 inches off the nose of my s-core that I never surf anymore and save the boards I surf solely for surfing.

My concern is it is obviously not your standard board that I could seal with glass and resin.

Any tips or advice would be awesome.

Thanks

Boyler

Boyler - I have no experience with the board, but do like working with resins and repairs on boards -windsurf and kiteboards - their website says any repairs should be done with epoxy resins (not polyester). that suggest that you should be able to do what ever you want as long as you use the right resin and get it to bond so that it doesn't leak ?? Modifying boards is FUN !! Go for it I say !!

Lambie,
Saw the nose off then bog the gaping hole then fix it as I would a normal board using the correct stuff. It is a 6"4 how much shall I take off?
Cheers

Well, I've cut the nose of and it looks and feels awesome under the arm. I just need to seal the nose. I have taped it up but will not trust tape to keep water out.
Kids have also drawn all over the board. I think they called it Slugterra Art!!!!

They are stoked!!

I'll post some pics soon.
