MauiEMC Presents: Cruser Putnam kitesurfs giant Ho'okipa on the first big swell of the new winter. Being one of the only guys out in 8 to 12 ft Hawaiian, he shows us how to rip the giant surf on his backhand. Always out there on the big days, Cruser slashes the blue walls. Opening day 2014, started out big and mean, just the way Cruser likes it. Aloha and Good Luck.

^^^ now thats a wave you would remember. But I always thought when they say "hawaian" it was the back of the wave they measured. I would call those waves maybe 5 foot. 9'3" straya looks like a good 10' though.
Edit; I would still love 5 foot rights in my backyard
