Hey guys,
I am off to coral bay on Sunday. Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere good to kite within 40min north or south (2wd only) ?
We are heading up further north to sandy bay later in the week but the forecast looks good for Sunday and Monday as well so would like to get out in coral bay.
I read some posts saying kiting banned on the main beach, fair enough but looking on google maps I cant see any other beaches accessable by 2wd within a couple of hours of town????
P.S anyone else up there this week let me know would be nice to kite with someone else.
Check with graham from ningaloo kayak adventures in the caravan on the beach. He is a local kiter and can point you in the right direction. DEC have banned kiting in the bay to protect the snorkelers but there are other spots close to town.
There is a good spot south of the bay between the bay and the boat ramp, its walkable. Just make sure you launch before the beach turns into Limestone ;-)
There is also some very good rock climbing spots at Coral Bay if youre interested. Have a blast!
