I had a lot of funny looks today! And then rage quit the beach when all this effort turned out to be for nothing and the wind died.

i dont know what this is. how do i see the 2 sports all i see is a motorbike with packed up kitegear on it?

wait.... you mean the whole thing is that you rode to the beach on a motorbike to go kiteing but didnt actually get to go kiteing and thats it?

nigga we use to fit 2 instructors and 1 student on a scooter with 2 kites 2 boards and 3 harnesses and some wetsuits and helmets

Nice.

I kitesurf, landboard and buggy. When I get a session with all three on the same day I am stoked.

I also mountain bike and longboard skateboard.

So if I can do a kite session, mtb and longboard in one day I'm super stoked.

Gee, if you can't say something nice...

I had a heap of fun riding hard and fast in the corners to the beach. Super proud that my setup didn't fall apart in the corners on a bike not designed to carry gear like that.

I'm lovin'it, mate. Nice. I ride an MT-07 - haven't fitted it with racks - but there are a few guys n girls riding their bikes and scooters to my local. One of them sits on their board as they commute. Best of both worlds!

you titled your post combineing 2 sports and you didnt combine 2 sports?!!? do you write click bait articles for a living and think this would be okay?

THIS is combining 2 different sports.
all you did was save a bit of petrol to go look at the ocean for a few minutes to realise there wasnt enough wind

I was somewhat seriously considering having the kite open and towing it while riding the motorbike, but that's just asking for trouble. Sexy, sexy trouble.

yeah i do. like a very lazy ironman who does alot of standing around looking at the horizon trying to spot windlines and reading clouds. been doing it for years.

coastal flyings a bit **** and to get proper flatwater kiteing for a freestyle sesh i gotto drive so its bitter sweet. but i do get to surf sunrise beach in the morning which is prime then paraglide off sunrise and then if she blows out ill kite it for a bit.

looking for a freestyle kite spot thats super flat and 20 knots that has decent waves for surfing and is the alps for xc flying hahahaha let me know if anyone finds one and dont say wanaka cause shes just to damn gusty (tho the standing wave is a damn nice touch).

eventually ill get good enough to do acro flying in below 500ft but untill then im just kooking it in the surf kooking it in the sky and kooking it in the waverideing so it sounds better then it is.
