Would like to thank Juddy and WAKSA for the great result and City Beach/Floreat.

Restrictions have been removed and we can once again launch, land and depart from the old spot north of Floreat Groin.

Keep in mind to remain respectful to general beach goers at this spot and use common sense.

yay

Perth kiters will recall that last season, the Town of Cambridge introduced kiting restrictions at the City Beach/Floreat groyne whilst they considered a number of issues, not least of all, their potential exposure to injury & liability claims.

WAKSA representatives met recently with Cambridge officials who indicated that kiters will be able to launch/land in the area immediately north of the City Beach/Floreat groyne for season 2011/12.

In conjunction with the Town of Cambridge, we are hoping to install some signage that will reflect the revised launch/landing area in time for the 2011/12 season.

Thanks to all the locals for their patience and perseverance over the past 12 months.

Think you mean north of the Floreat Groyne ONLY.

Somehow the clubbies wouldn't appreciate it north side of City Beach Groyne.

+1

Much more room and less of a circus at new spot. Longer walk so tad less handy admitedly but I'll probably go for the new spot on crowded days. Just my 2c.

+1 - Big ups to Juddy n co for representation and also the (now redundant?) flyers which helped sort things at the time.
