Has there been a formal ban for kiting in City Beach (inc. landing and launching)? The info to the forum last Dec was coming more like a request from the local ranger through WAKSA, and it did not appear as a formal council decision.
Could anyone update?
That link had not more than what had been already included in the forum posts Dec last year. Behind it was the ranger, not the city council... and it was without public debate etc... Apparently there were no complains from the public. It was the ranger on it's own who had concerns about the safety of kiting in the area without any incidents. I was wondering if anyone knows something more than that.
I believe, before we accept a ban ("adhere" or else... kind of threat), we could ask questions, and perhaps represent our rights.
BTW City Beach is not my backyard any more, but I would hate to see it closed.
yeah the city beach/floreat groin thing has gone quiet.
however I still see a few people setting up and setting off from here as I go past.
