I just checked out the cardboards website and WOW!! What an awesome company. I am looking for a new board and I reckon I might have to get one of these little beauties.

So far I've been tossing up between an airush protoy129, 08 undergroung 132FLX, Lunacy129 and now a cardboard. But which one?

I ride the 06 132FLX (foam core double concave) and would appreciate everyones personal opinion about the boards highlighted above.

I prob should split this into 2 threads but what do you guys think of each board above, and what cardboard is the best? Pro, Freestyle or Tempo

Id prob get the tempo, but is there much noticeable difference between soft, med & hard flex in the boards? Id prob get soft flex cos all I ride in is chop

I've been riding a 137 Tempo now for a few months - there is a good review on the Tempo here...

Well I'm sold already!! 130 Tempo with quad concave. Cant wait til the bank account looks ripe enough to harvest.

What about flex options tho? I'd either go standard or soft flex. Has anyone compared?

All I ride in is choppy and occassional flat water. But apparently more flex is not as good for fast, hard landings. I'd prob go for soft flex anyway for the chop.

I am in pretty much exactly the same position as you. I have an 07 Underground FLX 132 (the board with the piranhas on the bottom). I am probably going to order a Tempo 130 quad concave this weekend, but its gonna be tight with the bank manager until I sell the Underground.

Hey Paul I've got the same board. Do you find it looses its edge when you have a bit of speed behind you in bad chop. I love the old flx but its getting nearly 2 seasons old now.

I have found that it does lose its edge a bit in choppy conditions. The 07 has a pretty deep concave which gets it up and going really early but this may contribute to it losing edge when overpowered. Apart from that the board is excellent, especially in the surf.

The new designs are much better than the old ones
