Hey all.
I'm googling my arse off, but I can't seem to find a web page for CARDBOARDS.
Pretty keen to buy one and try them out, as I haven't seen / heard a bad word about them, and hey.... We all like to support Aussie companies right?
So if anybody knows a link, or a page where I can look at their range would be appreciated.
I checked out their Stalkbook page, but everything seemed to be a little out dated from like 2012-2013 !!
Somebody throw me a fricken bone here.
Sweet.
Thanks all !
Ragzilla
Hi Ragzilla,
Cardboards folded two years ago. Sold up all their stock and machinery to a bloke in Dubai. There is no more Cardboards. This is a great pity because Dan is a good bloke and he made sick boards. He was the last truly Australian made board manufacturer. Little Aussie businesses just can't fight the big guys.
Dan gave up reluctantly but went and got a "real" job and is earning more money, working less hours. We still have a 128 FR for sale if you're a little bloke.
DM
DAMBnow you have upset me, and made me want to buy that vacuum pack rocker table to make boards, even more.
I love my Cardboard 136. The foot pads are the best I've tried and very comfy and secure. Shame the business folded.
Best twin tip ever was the freeride
Best foot pads ever
Those cab H1's are a direct knock off of the cardboard pads and straps from like 2006
I can't find a twintip I like as much as the cardboard. I've tried crazyfly, North, axis, cab. ..
and sugarskull has officially killed the cardboards range . Sugar Skull is pissing off alot of people overseas.
Real shame. Dan's a mate and local guy so I grabbed a few boards off him at the end. I have 5 of them now but still feel my old 06 freeride is the pick of the bunch. Will be gutted if anything happens to it, nothing feels quite the same. I've tried so many other brands and most of them feel like bricks in comparison.
I broke my '06 138 X 42 Freeride in January. One of the saddest days of my life!!
Like loosing a dear friend.
A mate has loaned me his spare 136 and I can't bring myself to buy a new board cos I'll have to give the Cardboard back![]()
i know where a to find a rocker table / vacuum pack rack for making boards if anybody wants. i was planning on buying, but just dont have the time or finances.somebody should buy it, take some advice from dan and / or some schematics of his boards and pump some out.
hmmmmmmmm.
anybody want to give me a loan ??

Park your head back up your date Doc
The best twinny ever put out, was the Airush Hammer (why they stopped making them ?, I'll never know). The 138 is the most
versatile, allround stick you could ever have.
Totally awesome in waves, but yet small and twitchy enough for all your freestyle boogieing ( unless of course your into the smack/bang wake styling stuff ), and it's just a pleasure to ride.
It goes where I go, and generally I just hire kites when I'm OS. Those that have ridden my board ( and there have been many ) have all come back in with the same response (Wow, nice board dude )
But if I just wanna go, smack/bang, boost and hard landings I'll use me 129, 09 Protoy, rock solid, you wouldn't believe the **** that things been thru ( including a lady friend who reversed her car over it ).
But if you wish to drop a freeride at my doorstep ( you'll get it back a week later ) I'll give you an honest opinion.

It's a real shame to see Card boards finish up.
The boards shapes and construction were well thought out and excelled in their applications.
Card boards was no bullsh1t 100% Australian made and engineered operation, which is something almost no business can boast.
Dan your hard work is not forgotten.
Veebe. you're wrong.
I have ridden an airthrush hammer and I own a 144 cb freeride.
Hammer is too flat, lacks sensible flex, hard on the knees and is fragile.
It's fast! but slows up and trips and face plants easily. Hammer also lacks pop compared to cb freeride. No need to lend me a hammer for a week, I have worked it out.
Cb freeride, owned the same one for 5 years (maybe more) I paid full price for it.
My issue is I sometime slide over shallow lime stone reef on low tides. The construction of the cb freeride still seems to work well.
The board has flex and sharp rails for decent weekend warrior pop. It's also wide enough for early planning.
If anyone has a CB Wave they aren't using, I'll buy. (Need a spare deck for gnaraloo)

I was an hour late in grabbing the last CB wave off of Dan, really bummed. My mate bought it and uses it about 2 or 3 times a year, such a waste.

Hey Nath, as I said, feel free to drop one on my doorstep for a week and I'll give you an honest opinion.
