Hi there.

Does anyone know the mobile phone number / contact details of the owner of the Cardboards shop on the Sunhine Coast which recently closed down?

I've got a cardboard twintip which is still in an okay-ish shape but unfortunately one of the straps tore and is beyond repair.

The twintip is the older version and has the holes for the bolts inside of the pads.

Thanks in advance

Franz

By coincidence I just got the email below - perhaps that will help you

We are proud to present the 2014 line of Cardboards Kiteboards. http://issuu.com/calvinp.crochlow/docs/carboards_catalog_2014

As many of you are probably not aware, Sugar Skull Factory has bought Cardboards from Dan Veale. An agreement was reached earlier this year and the entire company was shipped to our headquarters in Dubai.

Cardboards great name and boards will remain 100% the same great quality. We painstakingly relocated all of their equipment here to Dubai to ensure that Cardboard fans would continue to get the exact same boards.

You will notice that the cost of the boards have dramatically decreased in price! This is not because we use inferior material or use substandard construction methods but because the cost of shipping raw material to Dubai is much cheaper than to Australia as well we do not have any taxes here! All the material we use to build our boards comes from either the U.S. or Europe.

We are currently working on the Cardboards website, we will be re-launching it soon! You will also notice that the graphic style of Cardboards has changed......admittedly this is the one thing we changed about Cardboards, we are not huge fans of straight lines and geometrical shapes...........yawn

Sugar Skull Factory is a well experienced company building boards since 1993 where we started in California. Over the years we have collected several brand under the Sugar Skull Factory name by either starting them or by buying outstanding companies.

We currently own the following brands.
Atmosphere Clothing
Sugar Skull BRC
Grind Candy
UNiT SiX Snowboards
Carboards

Hi Franz, not much point contacting Dan from CB I'm afraid. He's a mate and when he closed up I grabbed a lot of stock that he had. Unfortunately, he was very low on pads and straps, so much so that one of my boards has two right foot pads on it, took a bit of getting used to.

Co-incidentally I have a cardboards twintip with two perfect footpads (same type as above) and a deck which is beyond repair. I was kind of keeping the pads for spares, but if they don't fit my new cardboards (which I never actually checked) then I'd be willing to sell em to you. PM me if you're interested.

yeah, I've got a cardboard FX, and the pads wore out really fast, had o replace but CB was down for the count. I found Axis pads to fit.

I found the CB screw/bolt spacing different to many other pads, make sure you measure the spacing before buying anythng, I ordered some LF pads to replace and they wouldnt fit.
