Good News:
I just rang the bloke who wrote the email (00412287549).
The police have the name and address of the bloke in the photo,
and are on his tail.
It was only the bloke on the LEFT that is the thief
(he is well known to police with multiple previous offences).
The bloke on the RIGHT was an innocent bystander.

Perhaps we could follow this through and post his name and address once he comes to court.
Id like to think that his address would be Casuarina for a while but chance of that is SFA.
Trouble with the system is that the penalties are only a deterant if you are a reasonable person ie those of us with a life, friends, reputation, property etc etc.
