Been to Indo about 40 times (no exaggeration) from Sydney and flown over WA that many times-been a dream of mine to get there one day and Virgin Blue is having a sale so booked a flight for $240 return my girl and I for early February, for 5 days-all we can afford-and looking for any tips on a car rental out of Perth airport?
Already booked with Avis to at least reserve a car-Corolla hatch-again all we can really afford-and looking for any tips from anyone on other places to rent (know the usual big name companies and looked at their websites-non any cheaper than Avis)?
Thanks.
try Bayswater car hire on bayswater rd.
About a 10 minute cab ride from the airport but we found them to be the cheapest (we hired for a week) and they have the four door corrola.
Kitestock? Ahhh nothin much, it's just a little annual trip up the coast that a couple of us West Assies do to escape the Perth kiting crowds.
Perhaps you could check these out, probably one of the cheapest options if you want to move around a bit and check out a few locations. www.wickedcampers.com.au/
Hey Loco4olas,
If you are on a budget, there is a little mob in Osborne Park called Burtons Car Hire, they rent older cars REALLY CHEAP. No damage waiver, and about 26-28 a day all inclusive. I think they are metro only like within 100k's of Perth so, +'s and -'s.
Anything you get from the airport is gonna cost you.
Good winds,![]()
As said, Bayswater is the cheapest I've found $33 a day with the decent insurance + 500km range which wiil get you to Gerro. New or 1 year old Corrola's in fleet. Nuff said.
Not too keen on the Wicked Campers-seen top many backpackers over this way TOOLING about in them ;-) and don't want to join that camp-thinking we may lash out and go the camper route-saves on accommodation expenses and can just hang out anywhere-and it's only 5 days-so may be a cheaper and more flexible option.
If there's any suggestions down that line?
Thanks heaps.
Yep you will pretty much get it to yourself at the spots around Perth, Lancelin etc on that weekend.
The camper option is well worth checking out, we hired a late model Maui Toyota Hiace camper last year for three weeks in Tassie, it cost $138 per day from memory, which sounded very expensive but worked out great as you could stay wherever you wanted and saved money on food by doing all most of our own cooking (Britz do the same one).
There is a storage area over the front seats that holds a couple of kites a board and luggage no probs.
Yeah-$69.00 a day with Britz-only twice the price of the Toy Corolla option and free accommodation. Sounds like the best option.
