Can you take a harness as carry on (Virgin Domestic)?
Or is it considered a 'weapon of mass destruction'?

I took mine on Qantas and British Airways twice each - international though....

Just don't bring your bar and lines in your hand luggage - the security tards told me I wasn't allowed to because I quote "you can tie people up with it"... I responded by asking if he'd like me to remove my shoelaces as well and he got rather angry hahaha.

I go kiting overseas every year and carry a couple of bars (plus lines) and my harness bar and fins etc. as carry on and never any issue at all-do it to reduce the check in weight (I use the actual harness as padding for my boards).

Went to WA earlier this year on VB and did the same.
