So I think it's an early one, came in a different kind of bag than others, like a gym bag... The material also feels different to modern kites, like a tent almost.
Also if anybody has ridden early fuels and have any comments I'd be all ears...
Looks like around 2006-2007 maybe?
My brother in law has one like that, they are pretty different to my 2012 model, a lot less happens when you sheet out, they just look misshapen but keep pulling pretty hard.
looks like an 07 - one of the best fuels in my opinion. does it have the wave grenade 5th line set up?
there should be a panel on the wingtip with a serial number and build date

nah, old mate's right - it's an 05. the 06 was a different shape.
07 and 05 were very similar shapes (the 06 fuel was a pig because of its outline) but the graphics were different.
Definitely 05...i still have mine and take it out occasionally. It is a great kite and well ahead of its time 15 years ago....same colours as well!!
Yeah I have two of those - 13m sizes. Best effen kite ever invented! I still fly them and they spin on a dime. If there is a kite out there from the 2005 era, that is it! Any other, throw them in the bin!
Yeah, 2005. 2006 are 5 line and come in a black shoulder bag, 2007 come in a newer red bag. Also 2006 have skulls on the strut's.. I have 2005-6-7 fuels still. And newer 1's. Great kite's.

How awesome was that bag, **** for the bigger sizes they made as they were almost impossible to get back in.

Those older ones had a kite line sewn in the the small twin skin trailing edge, you could tighten it so it slowed the kite down and made it better for freestyle, downside made it even harder to go upwind though
