Great Video. Can only hope we'll have a little powder to soften some of our falls this year. Gotta agree on the 1:53... hilarious

Hmm, looks like lots of inflatables in that vid... I thought foils were the go for snow/land kiting?

A foil is preferable, but you can use an inflatable. The guys that do the back country/ cross country stuff prefer foils because you don't need a pump, and they tend to pack down smaller.

If you went snow kiting a few times a year but spent most of your summer on the water, I would just go ahead and use an inflatable...

no. just snow.

apart from the whiplash to the head, you'd be suprised how big a fall you can take on snow

true. turoa's bullet proff ice ain't soo friendly either...
but pretty much all the shots (except a couple of spring morning specials) in the vid have soft snow.

Oh yeah, Turoa, you look down from the chair and see lovely smooth snow, think "I'll go hit that, why hasn't anyone else?" and when you get to it all you can hear is the scream of snowboard edge against ice and the your internal dialogue saying "I'm glad I wore brown undies today"

And the dreams i was having of trying out snow kite in germany at the end of the year on my travels just turned to nightmares....
