Great Video. Can only hope we'll have a little powder to soften some of our falls this year. Gotta agree on the 1:53... hilarious
Hmm, looks like lots of inflatables in that vid... I thought foils were the go for snow/land kiting?
A foil is preferable, but you can use an inflatable. The guys that do the back country/ cross country stuff prefer foils because you don't need a pump, and they tend to pack down smaller.
If you went snow kiting a few times a year but spent most of your summer on the water, I would just go ahead and use an inflatable...
For those interested we are running a SNOWKITE INSTRUCTORS COURSE at Perisher this year. Details: www.seabreeze.com.au/Events/NSW/Snow%20Kiting/2511491/Snowkite-Instructor-Course.aspx#2511491

PM for more details or questions.
no. just snow.
apart from the whiplash to the head, you'd be suprised how big a fall you can take on snow
^^
true. turoa's bullet proff ice ain't soo friendly either...
but pretty much all the shots (except a couple of spring morning specials) in the vid have soft snow.
And the dreams i was having of trying out snow kite in germany at the end of the year on my travels just turned to nightmares....
