I always laugh when I read and hear this on the Switchblade promo ads and videos...

"There are very few cases in the world of kite design where high performance and ease of use collide. The Switchblade is just one of those rare cases."

Isn't that an oxymoron, where the "high performance" and "ease of use" collide? The "collide" bit gets me laughing. Collide means they DON'T work together. Yet the 2nd sentence starts where the Switchblade is such a case. Well if that's the case then the Switchblade is NOT good at both performance and ease of use.

Or am I reading this wrong?

Someone with perfect English explain how the above is a good selling point or advert statement to make?

Ps. I own the switchblade and I love the kite by the way. It's a great kite.

Laugh away lofty...... Collide maybe not the best word to use but for performance and ease of use they are hard to beat.

Still use my (only kites) Switchblade 2's (or 3's...can't really remember) from years back. Going strong!

I would have used the word "intersect".

Agree with you, collide has no positive connotations, with the exception of particles colliding and forming something new.

That's easy to explain "cabrinhas performance kites collide with trees with ease"
Is that easier to read?

Marketing Bull S!!t never really makes sense
It just has to sound "convincing" and "empowering"
We all get bombarded by it daily
Love the kites though
