does anyone know what the other cabrinha kites for 09 will be apart from the Switchblade and the Crossbow, or is that all.
thanks
ewan
They've also got the Convert which is their beginners/price-point model, and they are all run on 1:1 ![]()
there has been a decline in the kites, the SB IDS just doesn't have the same grunt as the old SB3 and SB2.
i want the initial punch because it suits me more for the wake style riding. i mean i have no problems with the kite its self its great for people getting into the sport and the newly added safety features are great, but it doesn't have that same feel.
Interesting they got rid of the revolver and Contra was an old concept anyway. They should be careful of trying to change too much just for the sake of it. Other brands have learned their lesson from this.
yeah the first batch of the IDS bar and lines where a bit faulty because the shackles didn't lock tight and where prone to coming undone. this is only the first few batches of the new kites, they have fixed the problem
i would recommend you go down to your local store and get it checked out Paul1 just to be safe ![]()
to all people wanting to buy the new IDS the problem has been FIXED.
well thanks for that
yeah i only ever seen the problem on the first kites that came out so i thought it may have been right across the board.
yeah listen to Steve he's the Mcpro
Cheers for the feedback guys. I have just checked all of mine and they were only finger tight, so I have tightened them up with some pliers.
i noticed the SB4's bar slides past the stopper set up that existed on the SB3.
Should it have a tightener on it? Dont really like it going to 100% depower if I let the bar go.
On SB3 as long as you let the bar go at the stopper the kite would still fly.
Anyone know???
Apparently there are stoppers coming out in October, that everyone will get for free if they purchase their kite before. You can retro fit an old one if you cant wait till then, there is lots of info on kite forum on how to do this.
The stopper balls are being tested either today or tommorrow.
They will be available next month and supplied 'free-of-charge'.
All future production from August onwards will have the new parts.
Don't forget these are 2009 kites we are talking about - still early days yet... ![]()
