Can you use a Cabrinha Recoil (4 line) bar with any kite? Im thinking about getting a Switch Element 5 and Im hoping to be able to use my current bar as Im happy with it. Not to mention it will save some dosh $$ if I don't have to get a new bar??.
I bought a couple of drifters off a guy that made the "switch" he wanted to keep one of the bars as he said it was superior to the [insert never to mentioned kitebrand] bar at the time (mostly because it allowed unwinding of front lines in flight). So on that basis, and on the basis that pretty much all four line kites use equal length lines you should be ok. Might need to "switch" the pigtails though...
How old is the cab bar? Single or double line flagging? If it's an oldie with double flagging, if you are clever you can convert it to single.
As it's low V, same as [insert never to mentioned kitebrand], it will fly the same.

Hey mate I have a switch Helium 2 and use a 2016 1X overdrive bar with it and it works perfect. Plus the newer cab bars (2015 onwards) look far superior to the switch bars. The kites themselves are good, just the bar looks like a bit of a dog.

Thats great news. Im very happy with my 2016 Cab recoil and the kite I got it with (2017 11m Switchblade). Just would like to get a 8 or 9M and without the bar the E5 is within my price bracket Although the minister of war and finance might take some convincing :)

I have three switch kites. I ride them all with my 2015 recoil Cabrinha bar, suits them just fine. Pig tails match perfectly.
Have friends who ride switch kites with all sorts of different bars - equal length, low Y, single flag out and you can not go wrong. As mentioned before their (switch) bars are a bit of a dog.
