Those that go to cable parks for a bit of practice when there is no wind blowing, do you just use your kiteboarding twin tip or do you use wakeboards??
Kiteboards don't have as much rocker as wakeboards, so they are generally harder to pop. I would recommond hiring the wakeboards once you get out at the wake park. Especially if you want to hit the kickers and sliders. You wont be able to ride the obstacles with your fins in, they will need to come out.
Have fun
Proper wakeboards. You will annoy the hell out of others on the cable if you rock up with your kiteboard edging hard from the left to the right and back.
Cheers
Not to mention the amount of heckling you'll face when you ride your kiteboard out there.
The cable guys seem to all think that kiteboarding is only dangling. I'd like to see what they say when they see a vid of Dre..
^Yeah I went to penrith wake park the other day and you just pay an extra 20 dollars for a pro board. I think board hire and two hours was only 68 all up. I only wish i had more time before i had to go to the football...
You most definately can use the hire boards at penrith. They have the liquid force grind series 2009 model. They won't let you use the STD hire boards as they have fins and straps. I am not sure about other wake parks.
Was it someone on here that was riding their underground flx out there? Nice raleys, but I must admit it did look pretty funny with the straps. Not sure whats different about it compared to seeing it in the ocean. Maybe it's just the fact that you weren't conforming to cable style :P
Good work on flying the flag though. Those raleys were solid.
Maybe we should plan a "kiters get cabled" day soon, and try to get 10 or 15 of us down there with kiteboards at the same time... ![]()

I've used both boards in the same sesh, and can say that wakeboards are definatly more fun riding cable. They give heaps more pop, which makes it a lot easier to land tricks. Shell out for the hire board it will make your day there that much more enjoyable
