The average wind speed in my location, Goolwa Sa, is 20 km per hour. I weigh 60 kilos at the moment and I'm growing. The best wind speeds around goolwa are around 12-15 kms. What size kite should I get? Also any tips on brands and models?

Grab some lessons and your teacher will be able to advise you on the best board & kite types..
Your mates & MARNO may just kill you will leads to a bad perception of kiteboarding, GOOD LUCK

Talk to your local shop and they will choose the best kite for your location. You can then go online and check comparative models or second hand market. I'd look at lessons... Atleast one or start with a land kite like I did and you will get your kite skills down pat in a safe environment
