If you have issue with one bladder only it might be worth to check with your local shop (if you have one) My local shop replaced my ozone strut bladder with some generic bladder for $80, and made up another for $50 on another occasion ( I replaced it myself). Ozone sells only full set of bladders or all struts, both more expensive than what the shop charged me.

But your shop rorted to you for their old junk. A strut should be like $35 & leading edge $100-$150.
I know Airborne Kitesurfing has 100's of bladders out the back and have given me old ones for free (I am a customer though).

Ozone sells Leading Edge bladders on their own, and struts sets on their own, or as sets.
For example a Reo V3 12M LE is $90, and strut set is $69 or $159 complete.

First, may I ask what sort of kite you have mate? Be alot easier to give you some advise with that knowledge. As a repairer, its not often that I would replace a whole bladder. And I think it would be a bit extreme if you did yourself. especially as its only a leaking dump valve. They can be purchased with a peel and stick tear aid backing thats easy to install with a bit of patience.

Yes and yes
if its a valve DO NOT use tear aid on it it's a complete waste..pinprick size holes only for that
u can..
a) cut around it...cut a square of broken bladder glue it over so its complete bladder with no valve. Use TARZAN GRIP and clean with acetone only to weld (nail polish remover u grabbed from some non surfing bimbo..sorry) putting the two bladders together. Then make a hole glue tarzan..with acetone for cleaning..and stick the valve on it

b) take whole vqlve off if poss if not wedge tarzan grip all around..under it

Or do what u say order kne orget similar size then make from scratch ..or use a smilar good cond one put new valve holes on it as tgcp from exmouth showed me once

never failed once
if it is only a leaking valve you can remove it by soaking it in boiling water. this softens the glue so the valve will easily peel off the bladder. you can either purchase a new stick on valve or clean the glue off the old one and reattach it using aquaseal which you can purchase from dive shops. it is used for repairing wetsuits. i use two blocks of wood one with a hole drilled in it to clamp the valve to the bladder while the glue dries. leave it clamped overnight and it should be good to go. i have fixed a few leaking valves using this method without further issues. i do not see the point in replacing the valve when the only thing wrong with it is the glue has let go. hope this helps

The kite is a 10 metre BWS noise pro (version 1).
I was on a trip and away from any decent kite shops when it happened. I managed to source an in-valve and put it on but found that the valve could have popped open as the velcro straps that stop the valve from coming open didn't fit. In desperation I put the old valve back in with tear aid (in a Cafe on a small table) and this is what it looks like. It didn't leak and I got a session out of it but now I am back I want to do the job properly.

how bad is the rest of the bladder? Im BWS's go to guy, and have fixed my fair share of thier bladderes. unfortunately they were plagued by a dodgy manufacturer for awhile. Now producing thier own bladders. I may have a 10M V1 bladder in the shop if you want to call or email.

u need an old bladder to cut up to do it by cutting that out replacing with a square then after cleaning the valve put that back on over a pinprick in the same place..
