I noticed the plane couple weeks back while kiting windang island..... Ozone Edge V8
NE wind...looked in the car park and my bus is there... awesome session before afternoon shift turns up.
Who else is famous lol![]()

Rad!
Looks like a good kite spot.
Is it good for waves on a NE?
Many people kite there?
And is that a cheeky little flat water spot I see to the west (on maps, not in your shot) behind a breakwater?
I thought the same..I must of looped it or a transition.
When you zoom in more on maps you can see theres a shadow under my board.
Rad...theres plenty oyster rocks here so a repair kit comes in handy.
I zoomed in to see the shadow of your board , amazing . Google earth image below which shows the date image was taken 24/2/2016 . Perhaps the plane you saw a few weeks ago was a ufo lol . Because someone thinks their famous our nice little spot has been put out there for all Seabreeze members to come and join us , the more the better , you are all welcome . Just be very careful of one rad kiter on a V8 edge , he is craaaazy man . Nice carve from the dude downwind
. Btw nikmcc there's no oysters on rocks , that was just a cover up

Baaahahaha
UFO....
Nikmcc there IS oyster rocks in the cheeky flat pond west you asked about..... for your own safety keep your eyes peeled. Especially at low tide.
Be mindful of kids and people in and around the park area.
Looks like you guys have been invited above ^^^^ Enjoy.
I have kited there on a couple of occasions....looks better in pic than in real life. That island creates a massive wind shadow . You get more than 3 in the water and its crowded. The clubbies set flags up in a spot that traps you between them and the island..
As far as the pond goes....well high tide you can have 2 kiters enjoying a 50mt run ( but dont drop your kite ) as the break wall will make it hard to relaunch and your kite will end up oyster bait.
Low tide and 1 person having a 40 mt ride.
There is better places 30 mins away that dont have Noobs corrupting the waves ??
Sweet, Yeah I'd be on the wave side anyways. Might check it out one day.
My folks have just retired down to Kiama, so I'm keen to start exploring the south coast beaches as I'll be heading down to visit occasionally.
Agree with everything fingerbone said.Kited there 5 summers ago on the biggest swell of summer.Towradgi was too big and whitewashy.Kited the pond briefly then hit the surf.14 knots in wave zone gusty 22 knots outside, 3 of us out, misses the swell heaps.Went out towradgi later in arvo when tide was out.Perfect 25 knots.Haven't been back
